The Constellation of:

GEMINI

Background:
Gemini is a famous constellation of the zodiac, lying just above the northern hemisphere in summer for its southern hemisphere observers. It is quite large with a number of bright stars. it contains the bright Twin stars, Castor and Pollux and a small number of bright open clusters.

Where is it?
Located between the constellations of Auriga, Cancer and below Monoceros, Gemini is a prominent summer constellation in the northern skies. Castor and Pollux almost skims over the horizon from South Africa. It lies partly within the milky way. It is not difficult to learn and is suggested as a must-know constellation!

Finding it:
The easiest way to find Gemini is to use a detailed planishere, locate Castor and Pollux and star-hop to the rest of the constellation's stars. You can also use Procyon in Canis Major as a beacon.

Gemini has various interesting objects, including double stars, variable stars and deep sky objects.
